SoundSide Physical Therapy conveniently offers Hand Therapy through certified hand therapist (CHT) Sharyn Marcisak, within our Locust Valley office. Sharyn, the owner of Gold Coast Occupational Therapy, has been practicing in hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation since 2007. Sharyn and her employees provide hands-on rehabilitation that enables each individual to regain their functional independence and improve their quality of life. Occupational therapy may be beneficial for individuals experiencing difficulties performing daily living tasks due to reduced range of motion, joint stiffness, pain, weakness in upper extremities, reduced sensation, and decreased fine motor coordination. As an occupational therapist and Certified hand therapist, Sharyn addresses both orthopedic and neurological diagnoses while providing individualized care to each patient’s specific lifestyle and needs.  Occupational therapy and hand therapy services are offered to child, adult, and geriatric populations.
